One of my favorite tools to manifest things in to my life is a vision board. Because I am a photography geek I really appreciate the great images that I can find and enjoy. I typically do a new one every January.  The best place to put a vision board is where you will see it regularly. I keep my main board hanging on the wall by my bed. Since I live in an open concept space (which is a fancy way of saying one room,) I can see it not only when I go to bed and when I wake up, but I also get to see it when I am reading, watching TV, or working on the computer.

Vision boards are really personalized so they can be made in a variety sizes and even shapes. So here are my favorite places for a vision board.

1. Next to your bed

Even if you aren’t lucky enough to be able to hang a large vision board by your bed you can still have one in your bedroom. You can get 8.5 X 11 document frames for very little money and print up a small vision board on your printer.  Set it on your nightstand and there you can see it at least twice a day.  You can also use a smaller framed option for your desk if you work in an office.

2. The visor on your car

This is another small option, but you can stick up a vision board on the visor of you car. Then just drive with the visor down and every time you stop at a light or get caught in traffic you can look up at the visor and be reminded of what you want and why you are working to get it. I don’t have images on my visor, but affirmations and questions for my guides. e.g. “What would it take for me to live my dream life with abundance and ease?”  (For more info on great questions to open doors check out Christi Marie Sheldon.)

3. Your Computer Desktop

I have my computer set up with several desktops, all of them have single pics that are of gorgeous tropical areas. Well actually most of them are of Ft. Jefferson off Key West, but  another is of an incredible shot of a dolphin tail taken in the Med. But you don’t have to set up several desktops. But you can easily use a program like PicMonkey to create a collage of images and text to make an awesome desktop vision board.  Phone and tablet desktop background are also a great idea. I mean how many times a day do we look at our phones?

4. In your bathroom

Yes your bathroom. This idea came from Leonie Dawson. She (or some one she knows I can’t remember) puts hers on the back of her bathroom door because she knows she will see it there several times a day. That is a great idea. Now it is a more public area of your house depending on how many bathrooms you have and which one you use the most often, but if you are kind of anti-social like I am  or just don’t care if people think you are crazy then this is a great option

5.Refrigerator Door

This is another place where you will see the board several times a day. And the cool thing about using the fridge is you can print each image individually and use magnets to hang them. Meaning if you are working on one specific item on the list you can rearrange it to hang in a more prominent location on the fridge.

So these are my favorite places for hanging vision boards, but there are other things you can do too. For instance you may not want to hang a vision board on your living room wall, but a lovely painting or photograph of a place you’d like to go, or something that represents your dream to you can be very powerful. When helping my aunt clean out her house we realized that we had a wolf to match every wolf painting and card she had hanging in her house. Even the red wolf photos bore a huge resemblance to one of our first rescues, Topanga. So anything you can do that keeps the dream alive and in your mind will help get you closer to your dream.

Next week I’ll share my 5 favorite places to get images for my vision boards. Do you have a vision board? If so where do you have it and how often do you update your board?
